Space Events!

My name is Kendra Hammonds and I am here with your educational/trending topic of the day.
Did you know that this week there was a lot of things flying around in space? There happened to be an Orionid metoer shower earlier this week. The annual Orionid meteor shower rained down the greatest number of meteors before dawn on October 21, perhaps as many as 25 meteors per hour. But the hours between midnight and dawn on the mornings of October 20 and 22 offered a decent sprinkling of meteors as well.
So what about the partial solar eclipse that happened last night? First of all the eclipse is an occasion when the sun looks like it is COMPLETELY or partially covered with a DARK CIRCLE because the moon is between the sun and the Earth blocking our view.
The First location to see partial eclipse will begin Oct 23 at 3:38 PM The second chance to see the eclipse will be the Maximum Eclipse Oct 23 at 5:45 PM Last location to see partial Eclipse end Oct 23 at 7:52 PM
But wait there is more, Sunday there will be a mountain-sized comet called Sliding Spring that will fly past Mars for the first time in a million years! What an extraordinary event for us to experience! So keep a lookout if you have missed the other spacey events and stay tuned in Sunday for the extraordinary mountain sized comet!
