When he woke up Thursday morning, James McGirt said he had a feeling he was going to win the car being raffled off later in the day as a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Lumberton/Robeson County. “I was kind of surprised when I got the call that I won,” McGirt, who was not in attendance when the car raffle was held, told The Robesonian on Thursday night by phone. “I’m glad I won … . But I don’t really know yet what I’m going to do with that little car.” McGirt, 52, owns J&J Trucking in Lumberton. He said that he bought four $50 tickets to win the Fiesta. He currently owns four vehicles, he said.
