TB threat remains in Robeson

Coughing, fatigue, fever, chills — sounds like the flu or pneumonia, right?

According to local health officials, there’s another diagnosis Robeson County residents should suspect when they experience these symptoms: tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis, which typically affects the lungs, is spread through the air. Symptoms include a cough lasting more than three weeks, chest pain, coughing blood, severe weight loss and night sweats.
